# Telematics

> Connect your telematics provider to stream live truck locations into Tread.

Connect your telematics (ELD) provider and Tread tracks your vehicles and locations in real time. Live positions drive truck visibility in Dispatch, and let Tread detect when a truck enters or leaves a [geofence](/concepts/sites-geofences) — a virtual fence around a Site. Tread connects through Catena Telematics, which supports dozens of ELD providers.

## Connect your provider

1. Go to **Settings** → **Integrations** → **Catena Telematics** and click **Manage**
2. Click **Connect fleet** — a popup opens
3. Choose your telematics provider and follow the prompts to log in and grant Tread access to your vehicle data

## Match vehicles to Equipment

After the fleet connects, click **View vehicles** and match each vehicle to an [Equipment](/concepts/equipment) record. Tread records each matched vehicle's live position against that Equipment.
