# May 2026

> Tread releases in May 2026: 6 web, 2 mobile. Use the Web and Mobile filters to narrow the list.

<Update label="May 26, 2026" tags={["Web"]}>
  #### Improvements

  * Add-ons sorted alphabetically. The add-on list now displays in alphabetical order instead of creation order, making it faster to find the one you need.
</Update>

<Update label="May 21, 2026" tags={["Web"]}>
  #### New features

  **Job and order notifications** — Users can now opt into push, SMS, and email notifications for key job events (accepted, rejected, canceled, and completed) as well as when new orders or projects are created. Notification preferences are configurable per channel on the User Profile Notifications screen, so each team member receives only the alerts they care about.

  **Bulk download filters** — Bulk Download Files now respects your page filters (date range, driver) so downloads match exactly what you see on screen. The download dialog also displays which filters are applied before you download. See [find and download tickets](/workflow/approvals/find-and-download-tickets).

  #### Improvements

  * Idle time visibility on the live map: idle truck markers now use a higher-contrast yellow, and route history idle indicators have clearer colors and styling.
  * Projects page for parent and child companies: the Projects page now shows projects from both parent and child companies by default.
  * API pagination documentation: documentation for upcoming pagination changes is now available in the [API reference](/api-reference/introduction).
</Update>

<Update label="May 20, 2026 · v1.110.0" tags={["Mobile"]}>
  #### New features

  **Edit Job form redesign with rate card support** — The Edit Job form now includes full rate card support on mobile. Dispatchers can select from project or order rate cards, toggle vendor rate and add-ons per rate card, and override the system-matched rate. Rate display logic on order details now shows the starred customer rate or hides rates when none are starred. The field formerly labeled "Site rate schedule" is now called "Rate Card Selection" for clarity.

  **Manual offline mode** — [Offline mode](/mobile/offline-mode) is now manually controlled rather than triggered by automatic detection, giving drivers more predictable behavior. Drivers can also complete required signatures while offline. Signatures are queued and submitted once connectivity returns.

  **Map improvements** — The driver map now auto-centers on your current location while navigating. The confusing delayed green marker has been removed in favor of the live blue pin. Local geofence notifications alert drivers when approaching pickup or dropoff sites, and map cursor alignment and orientation have been improved.

  #### Improvements

  * Softer in-app update prompt. App updates now appear as a gentle notification on the Accounts tab instead of forcing an immediate update.
  * Load-level sites on orders. Orders now display pickup and dropoff sites at the load level, so drivers can see exactly where each load needs to go even when dispatch doesn't set order-level waypoints.
  * Ticket quantity validation. The app now validates ticket quantity after a ticket is added, preventing incomplete submissions.
</Update>

<Update label="May 18, 2026" tags={["Web"]}>
  #### Improvements

  Project-level rates:

  * Project timeline entries now identify which specific rate card was changed, including its name and conditions, making it easy to tell which rate was modified on projects with multiple rate cards.
  * When editing a job, saving condition changes alongside manual rate edits now triggers a confirmation dialog so the rate re-match doesn't silently override your manual pricing.
  * Deleting a starred rate card on an order now prompts a confirmation and triggers a system re-match, consistent with the existing unstar behavior.
  * Project and order forms now gracefully recover from partial save failures. If some rate cards or add-ons fail to save, the form stays open with a clear error message and retry option instead of silently losing data.
  * The order form now correctly indicates when rates are decoupled from the project after an order moves back from Completed status.
</Update>

<Update label="May 14, 2026" tags={["Web"]}>
  #### New features

  **Sales quoting workflow** — The Projects page now includes a Quotes tab with full lifecycle tracking. Move projects through Draft, Quoted, Active, and Completed states directly from the page. Status chips and transition actions make it easy to manage your sales pipeline at a glance. See [sales quotes](/workflows/sales-quotes).

  #### Improvements

  * Order Metrics redesign. The Order Metrics view has been refreshed with new data including first truck arrival time, total work time, scheduled start, and idle time breakdowns at pickup and dropoff. Truck status badges now show completed-vs-accepted counts at a glance.
  * Project-level rates terminology. "Unnamed Schedule" is renamed "Base Rate" and the invoice rate selector is renamed "Rate Card" for clearer naming.
  * Improved automatic ticket matching for orders dispatched with placeholder jobs.
  * The "Running" checkbox on job edit forms is now always editable.
</Update>

<Update label="May 11, 2026" tags={["Web"]}>
  #### New features

  **Idle time tracking** — Dispatchers can now see when trucks are idle directly on the Dispatch page. An idle indicator appears on the driver panel, and a threshold line is shown on the speed timeline so you can quickly spot idle periods. Idle time is automatically calculated per load, job, and order upon completion.

  #### Improvements

  * Project-level rates polish. "Site Rate Schedule" is renamed "Freight Rates" for clarity, a confirmation modal now appears before starring a rate to prevent unintended cascading changes, and a "Rate Card Selection" label has been added to the site rate selector.
  * Load notes are now visible in order-level load lists and the load drawer, with edits immediately reflected after saving.
  * A new branded Tread email layout for transactional emails.
  * [Apex](/integrations/apex-command-alkon) orders now default to Running Loads.
</Update>

<Update label="May 5, 2026" tags={["Web"]}>
  #### New features

  **Project timeline** — Projects now display a real-time timeline of key events, including creation, rate changes, site updates, and schedule modifications. Teams can track a project's full activity history at a glance without leaving the project view.

  #### Improvements

  Project-level rates:

  * Orders with no rates now show a clear empty-state UI, making it obvious when pricing hasn't been configured.
  * Project-level rates now take precedence over order-level fallbacks during automatic rate matching.
  * Starring a rate on an order now cascades that rate to all jobs on the order.
  * The customer rate is now visible directly on the Dispatch page.
  * A confirmation banner now appears when unstarring rates to prevent accidental changes.
  * Sub-vendors in the dispatch chain can no longer edit the customer rate.

  Self-service API clients, full release:

  * API client management is now fully released. Create, view, and revoke API clients directly from Settings. See the [API reference](/api-reference/introduction).

  Other improvements:

  * The automated ticket review now detects when an uploaded image isn't a ticket and prevents automatic approval, improving billing accuracy.
  * "Axle" has been renamed "Telematics" throughout the platform.
  * Users can now set a preferred language on their profile.
  * Pickup and dropoff site selectors are now available on the load drawer.
  * Orders can now be deleted via the API.
  * Drivers are now automatically assigned to driverless jobs when a matching ticket is ingested.
  * The Accounting ID field is now available on updated user profile forms.
</Update>

<Update label="May 4, 2026 · v1.109.0" tags={["Mobile"]}>
  #### New features

  **Project-level rates on mobile** — The full Rates experience is now available on mobile order forms, including project-level rate cards, add-ons, and inline rate editing. Dispatchers can manage pricing directly from their phone or tablet.

  **Send message from mobile** — Dispatchers can now text individual drivers or all drivers on an order directly from the mobile app, making field communication faster and easier.

  **Driver signature on shift log** — Drivers can now provide a signature on their shift log when stopping, adding accountability and compliance documentation to daily workflows. Currently rolling out to select organizations. See [driver e-signature](/specialized/driver-esignature).

  #### Improvements

  * Load notes now have their own dedicated section in load and ticket details for easier viewing.
  * Site creation now pins to the typed address instead of defaulting to the current GPS location.
