# August 2026
> Tread releases in August 2026: 7 web, 1 mobile. Use the Web and Mobile filters to narrow the list.
#### New features
**2-way chat on web** — Dispatchers can now message drivers and team members directly from the web app. The new messaging hub features a two-pane layout with chat bubbles, real-time updates, image and file attachments, message editing and deletion, and clickable links. Start a conversation from any job or order.
**Dispatch enhancements** — Preview [order attachments](/workflows/order-attachments) directly from the dispatch card's paperclip icon. Auto-expand search now clearly shows the widened scope with a "Back" action. Bulk Edit on the jobs table now supports inline rate editing and editable Materials.
**Quote PDF: delivered price table** — [Quote](/workflows/sales-quotes) PDFs now combine material and freight rates into a single "Delivered/Landed Price" table with equipment type per line, giving customers a cleaner pricing view.
#### Improvements
* Rate card popovers can now be dismissed by clicking outside, not just with Escape.
* Project material rates now display per material row on the order form.
* Order notes are now included in order reports.
#### New features
**Rate changes checkbox: order-level rate control** — The "Apply rate changes to existing orders" checkbox on the order form now lets you disconnect an order's rates from its project. When unchecked, rate edits save directly to the order instead of cascading from the project, giving billers explicit control over order-level pricing. **Approve Jobs: cleaner queue** — The Approve Jobs queue now filters out rejected jobs and jobs with no driver or vendor assigned, so billers only see work that can be actioned. The Loads view also excludes loads from filtered jobs, and summary counts now match the visible rows.
**AI timesheet drawer** — The timesheet drawer has a cleaner layout and an expandable panel showing AI extraction details. You can now open the timesheet drawer directly from the Approve Work and Approve Jobs timesheet lists.
#### Improvements
* Digital tickets now show when they were created, alongside the ticket date.
* You can now remove default sites that were auto-added in the New Order and New Project dialogs.
* Dark mode improvements: better elevation, input surface tokens, and consistent color handling.
* Project reports now include prevailing wage status.
* The Dispatch page loads faster (removed a duplicate API call on page load).
#### New features
**Rate History: "Matched On" indicator** — Rate History entries now show exactly why a rate card matched a job, displaying the matching conditions (for example, truck type, material, equipment) as chips beneath each rate change. This makes it easier to understand rate behavior and resolve billing disputes.
#### Improvements
* AI timesheet scanning now writes extracted text to the correct fields, improving accuracy when reviewing AI-processed timesheets.
* You can now add rate cards to completed orders. Previously the "Add another rate" button was incorrectly hidden after an order was marked complete.
#### Improvements
**AI timesheet scanning: smarter AM/PM detection** — The AI scanner now uses contextual clues (total hours, typical shift patterns) to correctly determine whether extracted times are AM or PM. Previously it could misread afternoon times as early morning.
**Tread Agent: AI-generated conversation titles** — Conversations with the Tread in-app agent now get a short AI-summarized title instead of showing the first 60 characters of your message, making it easier to find past conversations.
**Order ingest API: multi-material support** — The [orders ingest endpoint](/api-reference/importer-apis) now accepts a materials array, allowing integration partners to send multiple materials with quantities and units on a single order, matching the existing project ingest capability.
#### New features
**Cascade rate changes on mobile** — The "Apply rate changes to existing orders" checkbox is now available on the Create, Copy & Edit, and Edit order forms in the mobile app. Before saving, an impact bottom sheet shows exactly which orders and jobs will be affected by the rate change, so you can review before confirming.
**Order form draft autosave** — Order forms now survive backgrounding the app. If you switch to another app or take a call mid-form, your in-progress input is preserved when you return. Both [foreman](/workflows/foreman) and dispatcher create-order forms are covered. A save/discard prompt appears when you navigate away via the back button or gesture.
#### Improvements
* Timesheet forms (Job + Time Log) are restyled with cleaner headers showing the order name or time log date for context, plus a new Total Hours field on the Time Log form.
* Digital tickets now capture where the driver was when they saved, so the server can stamp the ticket with GPS coordinates for auditing.
* Site addresses are tap-to-copy again.
* Removed the "Synced with Project", "Frozen on Complete", and "Stamped to Order" chips from the order form rates section for a cleaner layout.
* A simplified foreman order form (trimmed fields, Project required, start time defaults to 7 AM) is rolling out to select customers.
#### New features
**Change job status from the Approve Jobs page** — Dispatchers can now change a job's status directly from the Approve Jobs page (Approvals > Approve Jobs) without navigating back to Dispatch. The status dropdown on each job row is now fully interactive.
#### Improvements
* Rate fields are now properly hidden from API responses when users don't have permission to view them. Previously, hidden rates could appear as \$0.00 or cause display errors in certain views.
* PDF and bulk download reliability improved. Fixed processing issues that could cause job card downloads to fail or time out on larger documents.
#### New features
**Self-serve AI scanning instructions** — When you notice a ticket scanning issue, you can now edit your company's AI scanning instructions directly from the ticket drawer. No need to navigate to Settings → Agents. See [agent configurations](/onboarding/agent-configurations).
#### Improvements
* "First truck left pickup" on the dispatch board now correctly shows the first truck's departure time and is available on 98% of orders (previously showed the last truck and was blank on most orders).
#### New features
**Consolidated settlement creation** — Parent companies can now create consolidated settlements that roll up billing-approved work from child terminals into a single settlement per customer. A Location column has also been added to the Invoices grid for location-based filtering, matching the existing Settlements grid. See [multi-entity billing](/specialized/multi-entity-billing).
**"Apply rate changes" checkbox on all order forms** — The "Apply rate changes to existing orders" checkbox is now available on the Create Order, Copy & Edit Order, and completed order forms. Previously it only appeared when editing an existing order.
#### Improvements
* Rates History now shows entries for jobs that inherit rates from their parent order. These previously appeared blank.
* A Tread ID column is added to the Customers tab in Settings, making it easy to identify connected companies at a glance.
