# Text Messages from Tread

> Which phone numbers Tread texts come from, which ones you can save, and which language Tread messages are sent in.

Tread texts drivers and office users so nobody has to call to share a dispatch, a login code, or a missing ticket. Different texts come from different numbers. Only one of them belongs to your company.

## Which number sends each text

| Text | When it's sent | Sent from |
| - | - | - |
| App invite | An Admin sends a new user an SMS invite to download the app | Tread's notification numbers |
| Login code | A user signs in with their phone number | Tread's login service, a separate number |
| Dispatch alerts | A dispatch is sent, accepted, rejected, or canceled, per each user's notification preferences | Tread's notification numbers |
| Dispatch with reply Yes/No | The driver has **Enable Text To Accept** turned on and can accept a dispatch by text | Tread's Text To Accept numbers |
| **Message driver** | A dispatcher sends a driver a message from Tread | Tread's notification numbers |
| [Ticket Chaser](/specialized/ai-ticket-chaser.md) and Driver Agent | A load is missing its ticket, or a driver texts the agent | Your company's own Driver Agent number |

Tread's notification numbers are a group of local numbers. Two drivers can get texts from different numbers, depending on where they are.

## Common questions

> **Can I save a Tread number as a contact?**
>
> Yes for your Driver Agent number. It's your company's own number and doesn't change. Drivers should save it so they know Ticket Chaser texts come from Tread.
>
> For other texts, save the number a driver actually receives texts from. Don't share one number with every driver, because the number can be different from one driver to the next.

> **Where do I find my company's Driver Agent number?**
>
> Open **Settings → Agents**. The **Driver Agent** card lists the phone number(s) drivers text to upload tickets. It only appears once Tread has turned on Ticket Chaser for your account. See [Agent Configurations](/onboarding/agent-configurations.md).

> **A driver blocked a Tread number. How do they get texts again?**
>
> Unblock the number in the phone's blocked list, then text **START** to it. If the driver replied STOP to a Tread text, texting START to the same number turns texts back on.
>
> If the driver doesn't know which number they blocked, contact Tread support with the driver's name and phone number.

> **Can drivers reply to Tread texts?**
>
> Only to two kinds. Drivers with **Enable Text To Accept** reply Yes or No to accept or decline a dispatch. Drivers reply to Ticket Chaser with photos of their tickets. Replies to other texts don't reach your dispatchers. Drivers should use the app or call the office instead.

> **Can I change who gets these texts?**
>
> Each user sets their own notification preferences for dispatch alerts. App invites, login codes, and Ticket Chaser texts aren't part of those preferences. See the [FAQ](/resources/faq.md#notifications).

## Language

Texts and push notifications from Tread are in English, whatever language the app is set to. Some emails can be in Spanish or French.

| Message | Language |
| - | - |
| Text messages (SMS), including login codes | English |
| Push notifications | English |
| Job emails (new request, accepted, rejected, canceled, completed) | English |
| "New order created" and "New project created" emails | The recipient's account language. The subject, button, section headings, and footer are translated. Field names stay in English |
| Compliance document expiring email | Subject in the recipient's account language. The body is in English |
| Settlement emails | Subject and short message in the language of the person who sends them |

Details your team types, such as site names, notes, and messages to drivers, appear exactly as entered.

Each user's account language is English by default. Spanish and French are also supported. To change it, contact Tread support.

The driver app is available in English, Spanish, and Punjabi. A driver picks the language in the app's settings. That choice only changes the app screens on their phone. It doesn't change their account language, texts, or push notifications. The web app is in English.

> [!TIP]
>
> For drivers who read Spanish or Punjabi first, set the app language when they install it. The screens they use every day will be in their language, even though texts and push notifications stay in English.
