What is Tread

Tread is the operating system for bulk materials hauling. Producers, contractors, and haulers use Tread to dispatch trucks, capture tickets, approve work, and bill customers — all from one platform. Tread Horizon is the web app for office staff. The Driver and Foreman apps run on phones in the field. Both connect to the same data.

Who uses Tread

Each segment tracks a different unit of work. Tread keeps that unit at the center of dispatch, approvals, and billing.
SegmentWho they arePrimary unit
ProducersAggregate plants, asphalt plants, ready-mix-feeding cementTons delivered
ContractorsExcavation, paving, site workTimesheets and loads
HaulersTrucking fleets that move material for othersLoads and trucks
BrokersManage external trucking on behalf of producers or contractorsTrucking relationships
Owner-Operators (O&Os)Single-truck or small-fleet driversLoads per truck
Most customers run more than one of these. A producer often runs its own hauling fleet. A contractor often brokers trucks. Tread handles all of these on the same account.
